Metal has been Jools' passion for as long as she can remember. But for the last thirty years, she has been gradually leaning further towards the more extreme and underground end of the genre, particularly Black and Death Metal.

Jools loves the prospect of discovering a new band or album it makes every day worthwhile. She has been writing for MetalTalk for over thirteen years.

She also occasionally writes for "A Certain Taste" webzine and has, in the past, written for a few other, now defunct sites.
