Established in 2014, These Wicked Rivers are Derby’s entry to the new wave of rock ‘n’ roll that is sweeping across the UK. Drawing influence from the well of rock legends and blues greats, the band have made quite an impact since their inception with their unique brand of blues-infused modern rock.

The follow-up to the critically acclaimed debut album Eden (2020), Force Of Nature not only met expectations but also exceeded them.

With a reputation for soulful-bordering-on-spiritual live performances, timeless songcraft and lampshades, the band promised to crank things up a notch at their anticipated shows.

The audience (some never experienced them live) was treated to new material as well as fan-favourites such as Don’t Pray For Me and Testify. The latter perfectly encapsulates their ability to blend soulful lyrics and powerful rock instrumentation.

Lead vocalist John Hartwell’s gritty yet melodic voice immediately drew the crowd in, while guitarist Arran Day’s intricate solos added a layer of depth to the performance. Each song was met with enthusiastic applause, and it was clear the band has thrilled loyal and also new fans.
