On a beautiful, warm, sunny day in Camden Town, the goths and vampires took over once again. A lost soul stood outside KOKO, wearing a sandwich board that ominously declared, “The End Is Nigh.” Camden witnessed a full-scale takeover, with Creeper fans out in force.

Venues across town embraced the dark spectacle: Raven Records, Lost Souls Pizza, The Haunt, and even a Creeper hearse. Camden was fully submerged in vampy, gothic goodness.
As usual, The Creeper Haunt was packed with exclusive merch for the day’s event, as well as cracking deals on old tour shirts. Fans indulged in signature cocktails, and a tattoo parlour catered to the most hardcore of the Creeper Cult.
KOKO itself is an iconic venue. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes of the 2020 fire, it has returned to its former glory. A beautiful, quirky space with warrens and staircases everywhere—but if you want a prime view, be early.
Latecomers, beware: the vantage points at the back are limited, and you may find yourself contorting between limbs just for a glimpse of your heroes.
Creeper – Sanguivore
The night was special. Sanguivore was played in its entirety. There was an undeniable buzz, and fans sensed something monumental was about to unfold. With the build-up and the day’s elaborate promotion, speculation was rife. Would it be new characters? A fresh concept? Album news?
Whatever it was, the audience knew they were in for a treat.
Long-time Creeper fans would remember the legendary 2018 KOKO gig, the ‘fake break-up’ that closed their Eternity In Your Arms era. So, naturally, expectations for high drama were through the roof.
Enter charismatic frontman Will Gould, effortlessly cool, his hair grown back out. From the second he launched into the first song, Further Than Forever, the crowd was utterly hooked, putty in his hands.
Hannah Hermione took to the mic for Lovers Led Astray. Let me say this once more for both those at the back and anyone reading my words for the first time. Hannah is the jewel in the crown, the secret weapon, the brilliance that intensifies with every performance.
Creeper blasted out Teenage Sacrifice, an undeniable anthem, then Chapel Gates and Black Heaven.
Will paused to thank fans for their unwavering support, acknowledging how they had embraced Sanguivore. The crowd shouted their love back at him, and he responded, “I love you too.”
One fan yelled that it was their birthday, and suddenly, KOKO erupted into a spontaneous rendition of Happy Birthday, with Will cheering along.
Will announced one last song, dedicating it to his girlfriend.
Hannah took to the keyboard, leading us into More Than Death. The venue swelled with impassioned voices, fans singing back every word, hearts full. Creeper had played Sanguivore in its entirety, and it was nothing short of phenomenal.
We received a huge encore as there was still time for more. Creeper treated the crowd to a run of classic hits, kicking off with Down Below, followed by Suzanne, featuring a surprise guest appearance from Tyler Povanda of Save Face.
Hannah took centre stage for Midnight, her vocals mesmerising. Between finishing up the song and starting her next one, in a moment that sent love and support through the venue, she draped herself in the Transgender pride flag before delivering a stunning performance of Ghosts Over Calvary.
Creeper closed the night with their biggest anthems, Cyanide, Annabelle and, of course, Misery. Each one sent the crowd into euphoric singalongs, a perfect ending to an unforgettable show.
Then came the shock: As the curtain fell, a mysterious woman in leather, a bag covering her head, walked onto the stage. On-screen, the same woman was shown driving a stake through Will’s eye. The crowd screamed and squealed in horror and fascination.
The reveal?
A new album, of course, and it’s a sequel! Sanguivore II – Mistress Of Death.
Without a doubt, Creeper are the greatest theatrical goth horror band in the world right now.
Lowen
The evening’s support came in the form of Lowen, with Nina Saeidi on vocals. The English Heavy Metal act, rich with Middle Eastern heritage, delivered a strikingly unique sound.
Lowen had a fantastic crowd for their set, with large numbers gathering early. They effortlessly won new fans, looking completely at home in KOKO’s grand theatre-style setting.
