Cats In Space have been announced as part of the stellar lineup supporting Jeff Lynne’s ELO at their historic final UK performance. Set for Sunday, 13 July 2025, at London’s iconic BST Hyde Park, this already sold-out gig is poised to become one of the most unforgettable farewells in British rock history.
With ELO currently on their farewell US tour, Over And Out, Jeff Lynne will make his final farewell this summer.
“My return to touring began at Hyde Park in 2014”, Jeff Lynne said. “It seems like the perfect place to do our final show. We couldn’t be more excited to share this special night in London with our UK fans.”
For many fans, ELO’s final bow is already a momentous occasion—but with Cats In Space joining the ranks, the night now comes with a little more Heavy and a whole lot of Metal charm.
“We have had to sit on this for some time,” Greg Hart told us, “and boy, it has been tough holding my tongue! Every CAT fan knows from day one, we wore our ELO influences on our sleeve as we recorded Too Many Gods and, indeed, the albums that followed. So, to get this incredible opportunity to play alongside ELO on the final show as we continue our 10th anniversary year really is the icing on the cake.”
Joining ELO and Cats In Space are other diverse acts, including W. H. Lung, High Fade, NECKBREAKERS, Bobbie Dazzle, and Bec O’Malley, as well as The Doobie Brothers, Steve Winwood, and Dhani Harrison.
With recent shows at The Giffard Arms in Wolverhampton and Desertfest London covered by MetalTalk, Bobbie Dazzle will be bringing their high-energy shows to Maid Of Stone festival this summer as well.
Whether you’re there for the string sections or the power chords, this is one bill where classic rock purists and lovers of cosmic Heavy Metal alike can unite under the summer sky.
For Cats In Space, the opportunity to share a stage with one of rock’s greatest visionaries is more than a gig—it’s a launchpad into the history books.
And for ELO? “As the song goes,” Jeff Lynne says, We’re gonna do it One More Time.”
