Cradle Of Filth have just released the new single Demagoguery, a sinister slice from their 14th studio album, The Screaming Of The Valkyries. The new single seethes with that signature blend: Dani Filth’s unmistakable shriek and growl, the band’s blistering blast beats, and symphonic menace all woven into a slaytanic groove that is uniquely their own.
With The Screaming Of The Valkyries, which dropped via Napalm Records on March 21, 2025, MetalTalk said that Cradle Of Filth “Have never sounded more self-assured or devilishly brilliant. After over three decades at the forefront of Extreme Metal, Dani Filth and his ever-evolving crew of miscreants have firmly cemented their place in the annals of heavy music.”
The newly released video for the track adds even more weight. There is a disturbingly hypnotic visual to match the auditory onslaught.
This surprise single follows the momentum of The Screaming Of The Valkyries—a record that both summons the ghosts of the band’s macabre past and charges ahead into a darker future.
Tracks like To Live Deliciously and White Hellebore showcase the band’s uncanny ability to merge gothic grandeur with heavy aggression, while songs such as You Are My Nautilus and Non Omnis Moriar channel emotional gravitas with operatic flair.
Produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England, the album drips with both venom and beauty.
The lineup—rounded out by drummer Martin “Marthus” Skaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, guitarists Marek ‘Ashok’ Smerda and Donny Burbage, and keyboardist/vocalist Zoe Federoff—delivers with cinematic precision and ravenous intent.
From their 1994 debut, The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh, to the current grandeur of The Screaming Of The Valkyries, Cradle Of Filth remain one of the most influential and provocative names in the Heavy Metal pantheon.
With this latest release, they carve their legacy deeper into stone.
