Sheffield’s Heavy Metal groove giants Black Spiders are back in snarling form, celebrating the release of their fourth full-length album, Cvrses, with a ferocious new single, Up All Night.
Out now via Dark Riders/Cargo Distribution, the track is a gritty ode to unrelenting chaos, nocturnal escapades, and, according to frontman Pete Spiby, “an ode to Renfield, Dracula’s Batman… and an allegory for the rock’ n’ roll lifestyle, where there’s only one version of 3 o’clock.”
The accompanying video unleashes a riot of sound and swagger, fitting the Black Spiders mould—dirty riffs, stomping rhythms, and harmony-laced choruses that demand to be cranked to 11.
Once again recorded at Doncaster’s Axis Studios with producer Matt Ellis, Cvrses commands the storm. “Massive riffs, massive hooks, massive beats. It’s all massive,” the band declares, and judging by the early buzz, they are not wrong.
But the madness doesn’t stop at the studio. Following support dates with Aussie Rock warlords Airbourne, Black Spiders are taking their thunderous live show on the road this June for a coastal crusade across England.
Aptly dubbed the ‘Seaside Tour’, the run sees the band hitting up grassroots venues from Weston Super Mare to Brighton—delivering heavy rock joy where it’s needed most.
“We always like to play somewhere different,” says Spiby. “A lot of these smaller venues don’t get a look-in on the touring circuit, so we thought, why not? It’s gonna be a week of beer vs ice cream…”
Black Spiders also play Fireside (Wildfire) Festival on 28 June 2025.
