Download Festival 2024 – Saturday. As Liquid Death poured from the skies, Wargasm took to the Apex stage. Hitting the midday hour with a ferocious bash of electronic Metal maelstrom, duo Milky Way and Sam Matlock cast their own forecast of rock-or-die attitude with their band in a rapture of mainstage overthrow.
The sound is gorgeously amplified, and we are reminded why Download is and continues to be the best showcase of heavy music in the UK. Both Way and Matlock strike out their best, swapping lead vocals for their instruments back and forth whilst dominating all corners of the stage.
Looking down from the back of the arena, it is like a spotted, multi-coloured blanket laid down over the fields as thousands clad themselves in their bright and beautiful rainwear in total commitment to revelling in every festival moment.
Wargasm has long earned the reputation of being a must-see live act, but today, they exceeded expectations on their already highly set bar.

Download Festival 2024 will mark the second year of the festival selling out, with weekend, day and camping tickets now completely gone. The festival will reunite its incredible community of fans for a jam-packed five-day event (June 12-16).
