The Allman Betts Band / Second album ‘Bless Your Heart’ out 28 August

‘Bless Your Heart’, the second album from The Allman Betts Band, will be released 28 August, via BMG, with the bands second single ‘Pale Horse Rider’, available to watch below.

A follow up to 2019’s ‘Down to the River’ (which was the first time the band had played together), ‘Bless Your Heart’ marks a years worth of experience of of the band, all drawing inspiration from the band’s symbolic hometown – a place Devon Allman calls “the United States of Americana.”

This new album was recorded over a week Muscle Shoals Sound Studio on 2-inch tape. In addition to the time in Muscle Shoals, Bless Your Heart saw additional tracking in Memphis and St. Louis.

Discussing the album, Duane Betts told MetalTalk: “I think we definitely challenged ourselves, pushed ourselves artistically and widened the spectrum on all levels. We wanted something that was a little more sweeping. A deeper experience.”

Devon Allman told us: “I hope what people hear on Bless Your Heart is a band that’s having a love affair with being a band.”
