Anthrax have been announced as Saturday headliners for next years Steelhouse Festival, which will be held over the weekend of 23 July 2021.
Anthrax’s Charlie Benante told us: “We are all so excited to get back at what we do best – THRASH FOR ALL OUR FRIENDS!
“Can’t wait to see you U.K.! Been too long.”
Northern Irish power trio Therapy? celebrate their 30th Anniversary with their first visit to the festival, with Mason Hill, Howling Tides, Matt Mitchell & the Coldhearts and Empyre also announced.
Therapy’s Andy Cairns told us: “Very excited to be coming to The Steelhouse Mountain.
“A wonderful gig in a country close to our hearts. It will be an honour to play with Anthrax, a legendary band who had a big impact on us when we first heard them. Rydym yn hapus!”
Promoters Mikey Evans and Max Rhead told us: “Having such a genre-defining band headline Steelhouse is huge – one of the Big Four no less.
“Anthrax helped propel the music we love into something heavier, faster and harder. Their place in the history of all things Metal is assured.
“Next year they’ll make the trip up The Mountain… We couldn’t be more excited… ‘It’s a Steelhouse, or so they claim!’
“Of course, as is the way with Steelhouse, it is always important for us to feature the best new bands out there. Mason Hill keep going from strength to strength, you can sense the momentum they have and we’re delighted to have them back alongside Steelhouse debutants: Empyre, The Howling Tides and Matt Mitchell & The Coldhearts.
“And finally we have Therapy? What more could you ask for from a special guest spot. It’s all about song power and they are loaded with them. PLUS we’ve still got plenty to come!”
