Rob Halford / The Metal God to Confess all next month

The Metal God Rob Halford has promised to “expose every facet” in his long awaited autobiography which is due for release 29 September, with the book slated to be full, frank and shocking.

Halford tells us: “Confess is a unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to expose every facet of myself.

“Digging deep with nothing to hide and nothing to fear was in many ways exciting, fun, disturbing, terrifying and cathartic. I’ve held nothing back. It’s time for me to Confess.”

‘Confess’ promises to be an unforgettable Metal story, from a Walsall council estate to global Metal worship via alcoholism, addiction, police cells, ill-starred sexual trysts and bleak personal tragedy, through to rehab, coming out, redemption… and finding love.

Halford and Judas Priest were inducted into the Hall Of Heavy Metal History, along with Doro, in August 2018 at Wacken in a ceremony conducted by MetalTalk and MetalTalk will have some unique coverage as we lead up to the release date.

‘Confess’ has been written with Ian Gittins, co-writer ‘The Heroin Diaries’ by Nikki Sixx and is published in the UK by Headline Publishing Group.

Headline Publishing Director Sarah Emsley told us: “I have a real passion for warts-and-all, career-spanning autobiographies from icons of the music world and Rob Halford’s story is truly incredible.

“Covering seven action-packed decades, the early material from Confess is stunning.

“We cannot wait to publish Rob’s book around the globe this year.”

US Publishing is by Hachette Book Group US.
