DIY punk collective LOUD WOMEN are celebrating ten years of turning up the volume on womxn and non-binary artists with a 10th Anniversary compilation album. Due out in late November via independent label Punk Fox, the release pulls together a cross-section of bands who have lit up LOUD WOMEN gigs and festivals over the past decade, with pre-orders now live on Bandcamp and other platforms.
The compilation underlines everything the London-based crew stand for: loud, melodic and defiantly political songs that put women and gender minorities front and centre, from razor-edged punk and riot grrrl to hook-heavy indie and alt-pop. It is both a gateway into the scene and a thank you to the artists and fans who have built it from the ground up.
As with previous LOUD WOMEN releases, the project stays true to the collective’s DIY ethics. Profits are channelled back into supporting the artists involved and charities that help women, ensuring that every copy sold feeds directly back into grassroots culture.
For anyone who likes their punk sharp, inclusive and genuinely Heavy on attitude, this is an essential snapshot of where the movement is right now. Pre-orders are available from Bandcamp.
