Firewind Sign With BLKIIBLK And Welcome Henning Basse Back For Epic Concept Album

Greek Heavy Metal veterans Firewind have signed a new worldwide record deal with BLKIIBLK, the Frontiers Records imprint that also works with Metal heavyweights like Megadeth and Biohazard. The move marks the beginning of a new chapter for Gus G. and company as they gear up for an ambitious concept album and extended touring plans.

Alongside the label news, Firewind have confirmed a major line-up change. After stepping away in 2019, powerhouse vocalist Henning Basse is officially back in the band. Basse first joined the Firewind family as a touring singer on the Allegiance cycle before fronting the group between 2016 and 2019, leaving his mark on the fan-favourite album Immortals.

At the same time, the band have announced that Herbie Langhans is stepping down from vocal duties. Firewind thank him warmly for the records and tours they shared and acknowledge that increasingly busy schedules made it harder to continue together.

Gus G. says the band are already hard at work on a new concept album they describe as the biggest and most epic Firewind release so far. “We’re all very excited,” Gus says, “as we commence work on the upcoming concept album that will be the biggest and most epic thing we’ve ever done. And for this, we couldn’t have imagined a better label partner other than Frontiers Records new imprint label, BLKIIBLK.

“We’re honoured to be label mates with Metal titans such as Megadeth and Biohazard, and we can’t wait to unleash the new music on the world. Please stay tuned for more details on that, and we will be seeing you on the road in 2026.”

For BLKIIBLK, Head of A&R Europe Aldo Lonobile highlights Firewind as one of the most exciting Metal acts in the scene and says the label are proud to be part of the next chapter in their story, with new music expected to arrive ahead of extensive touring in 2026.
