Judas Priest / Rob Halford announces a Biblical Heavy Metal Scriptures book

Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford will release Biblical: Rob Halford’s Heavy Metal Scriptures in hardback on 1 November 2022 through Headline Publishing / Hachette Books.

“After my penitence with Confess,” Halford says, “it’s time for me to be Biblical and take our congregation through all the ins and outs and ups and downs of what it takes to make the life of the Metal god. So, get comfy in your pew and prepare for the light of revelations.”

Biblical will see Rob Halford running his expert eye over the world of Heavy metal as he shares his opinions, memories, and anecdotes regarding every rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle element, from tours to tattoos, riffs to riders, and drugs to devil horns.

Headline Publishing acquired the book together with Hachette Books as part of a world rights deal from Judas Priest’s manager, Jayne Andrews. “Biblical will be a must-read for Metal fans across the world,” Director Sarah Emsley said. “We couldn’t be more excited to once again be bringing Rob Halford’s gospel to his congregation of fans this year.”

Confess, released in September 2020, is a unique and deeply revealing insight into the extraordinary life Halford has led.

Like Elton John, but in leather and studs and astride a throbbing Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Rob Halford delivered a fantastically entertaining read that not only cements his status as one of the greatest Heavy Metal artists of all time but also will be an inspiration to LGBTQ+ communities and Metal fans alike.

Like Confess, Biblical has been co-written with Ian Gittings, who also wrote Nikki Sixx’s The Heroin Diaries.
