Archive: 23rd May 2012. Ghost have ended a fierce bidding war by signing to Seven Four Entertainment, the new record label formed by ex-Warner Bros. Chairman/CEO Tom Whalley. The deal reportedly means a $750,000 advance for the band. Ghost are the first band to sign to Seven Four Entertainment.
Roadrunner and Metal Blade were pursuing the band hard but the corporate dollar spoke in the end. Seven Four Entertainment are launching under the Universal Republic umbrella.
Ghost made a massive impact in 2011, receiving Judith Fisher’s Band Of The Year nomination and Tina Saul’s Album Of The Year award. Ghost play Download Festival in June, along with the following dates.
