Phil Soussan has released a video trailer featuring samples from every song on his forthcoming EP, Cosmo Fighter Part One. BraveWords Records will release the four-track set on 13 November 2026.
Cosmo Fighter is planned as a trilogy of three EPs. The first single, Fading Out, is available now, and fans who pre-order the EP through Bandcamp can download the track immediately.
Fading Out combines a sequencer-style bass line, a driving guitar riff and an unexpected time change in the chorus. Its message centres on the idea that those who choose to oppress others will eventually be “faded out” themselves.
Soussan describes Cosmo Fighter as a sonic roller coaster intended to challenge how listeners see the world.
“I started pulling from a vast reservoir of embryonic ideas,” Phil Soussan said. “Looking around, I saw a world with no shortage of things about which to write. Pacing back and forth, I had felt angry at the world, but I wasn’t mad at it.
“I certainly didn’t want to sound patronising, but I had this urge to inspire people to wake up and realise that all truths rest in our own intelligence.”
The spark ignited a brilliant concept, a reality check delivered from the perspective of someone who has just returned from the future – THE COSMO FIGHTER.
“I’m not talking Sci-Fi here,” Phil said. “Maybe only two or three years into the future, the Cosmo Fighter comes back into the present to recount what he has seen. Not that long ago, we were all so optimistic about what technology would bring to our lives. This character shows us that things will not always turn out as we imagine. It is entirely up to us to create our own destiny.”
Written, performed, produced and mixed by Soussan, apart from selected guest appearances, the project emerged during a rare break from touring.

All four songs were written and recorded by Soussan, who also mixed and mastered the EP at Blue Cat Studios in Las Vegas. He performs all instruments and vocals, with Richie Kotzen contributing the guitar solos on Please Don’t Make Me Wait.
