Download Festival 2024 – Sunday. Code Orange, the hardcore punk and Metal band from the US, thrashed their Download audience into viewing obliteration with their Sunday set.
Frontman and vocalist Jami Morgan struck his microphone so hard into his forehead again and again that it started to bleed. What is more Hardcore than that?
It certainly got the punters blasted and kicked started the day’s chaos with a classic midday mosh. Though they only had half an hour to prove their mainstage worth, Code Orange did everything and beyond, with their set certifying the festival mentality of ‘it’s never too early to get on it’.
Latest release, Circle Through (Abstracted), went down a blood-soaked treat as the instrumental filled the now sunny weather.
Perhaps it is too much to say Code Orange brought the colour in their name to the Download sky, but if they did or didn’t, we sure are thankful, and better yet, we are itching for more of what they have given us.

Download Festival 2024 will mark the second year of the festival selling out, with weekend, day and camping tickets now completely gone. The festival will reunite its incredible community of fans for a jam-packed five-day event (June 12-16).
