Birmingham, England, 22 January 2021 marks the beginning of the Venom Prison European Tour which will include 22 dates, across eight countries. Support for the tour comes from Creeping Death and Leeched.
The band told MetalTalk: “As the COVID-19 situation took hold throughout the world this year, it has given us some time away to produce, write and take part in new outlets such as live streaming.
“Whilst we have enjoyed these new experiences, our hearts will always be with performing live. It is what we do and nothing can ever change that.
“We are pleased to announce the following tour as a restart to our touring life, with Creeping Death & Leeched.
“Whilst every endeavour will be made to conduct the tour safely, it will only be taking place if circumstances allow for a safe scenario for everyone.
“I hope you are like us and would like something positive to look forward to, so we will hopefully see you out on the road in a new world.
“The grind must not stop.”
Venom Prison will release ‘Primeval’, an eleven track album containing two new tracks and nine re-recordings of songs from their early EP releases.
The band told us: “Primeval is a snapshot of the earlier days of Venom Prison, simpler times where we locked ourselves in a room for days on end to create the early incarnation of what would be our first collection of songs.
“Our first release/demo ‘Defy The Tyrant’ was subsequently born and we never thought this would lead onto being picked up by Prosthetic Records or touring the world.
“This became a starting gun for touring and festivals in between the studio to write, including what would become ‘The Primal Chaos’.
“Given the current climate and the global pandemic situation, we felt it was appropriate to package together our early material so that it is presented in a form of how it was always intended. This is what you hear now.
“Our previous EP’s plus two new tracks to give you an idea of what is to come in future.
“Our new chapter awaits, the grind must continue.”
