Steve Hackett / Releases ‘Under The Eye Of The Sun’ from upcoming live album

Steve Hackett has released the track ‘Under The Eye Of The Sun’, taken from his upcoming release ‘Selling England By The Pound & Spectral Mornings: Live At Hammersmith’. The live package will be released 25 September through InsideOutMusic.

Recorded on the final night of the tour at the legendary Hammersmith Odeon, the set is divided in two pieces. The first set includes tracks from ‘Spectral Mornings’, celebrating its 40th anniversary, and ‘At The Edge Of Light’, Steve’s latest solo album.

The second part is the live recording of ‘Selling England By The Pound’, the fifth Genesis studio album originally released in October 1973. The album featured ‘I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)’, which becomes the bands first top 30 chart hit.

For the tour, Hackett was joined by his touring band of Roger King (keyboards), Jonas Reingold (bass), Rob Townsend (saxes/flutes), Craig Blundell (drums and percussion) with Nad Sylvan on vocals.

Special guests for this performance were Steve’s brother John Hackett (flute) and Amanda Lehmann (guitar and vocals).
