It is with much sadness that we share the news this morning that Steve Göldby, the man who founded MetalTalk in 2008, has died following a brave battle with cancer. His sister Liz and loving partner Hayley shared the following news last night.
“With the greatest sadness and the heaviest of hearts, the final chapter is written. Our beloved and total one-off legend, our darling Steve, made his final journey this evening, 5 March, at 7.20 pm.
“He died with his boots on, listening to his favourite music, surrounded by loved ones and receiving the best possible care.
“He is already causing havoc in the afterlife.
“We love you so much. Funeral details will follow in the next few days.
“Please raise your glasses and make a Metal toast.
