Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman and more are ready to rock Singapore Rockfest 2024. A heat wave has meant that several bands have been moved from Fort Canning to The Star Theater and The Capitol Theater.
The Singapore Rockfest 2024 event from LAMC Productions, which was planned for all bands to be held again at Fort Canning Park, had to be moved to an indoor venue due to the hot weather currently hitting Singapore. 
Deep Purple, Yngwie Malmsteen and Marty Friedman were due to appear at Fort Canning Park have been moved to The Star Theater and The Capitol Theatre. Deep Purple will perform at The Star Theater on 1 May 2024, while Yngwie Malmsteen and Marty Friedman will perform at The Capitol Theater on 2 May 2024.
Only All Time Low with opener Iman’s League will still perform at Fort Canning Park on 5 May 2024.
The Singapore Rockfest series will be opened by Brandon Boyd and his alternative rock band Incubus. They will perform on 29 April 2024 at The Star Theatre, followed by legendary British hard rock band Deep Purple on 1 May 2024 at the same venue.
Deep Purple returns to Singapore after eleven years. Their last appearance was in 2013, when they were still with guitarist Steve Morse who has now been replaced by an equally great guitarist, Simon McBride. Apart from McBride, Deep Purple still consists of Ian Gillan on vocals, Ian Paice on drums, Roger Glover on bass, and Don Airey on keyboards.
Deep Purple’s appearance at Singapore Rockfest 2024 will be their only appearance in Southeast Asia.
On 2 May 2024, the Singapore Rockfest show will be presented by two axe maestro warriors, Yngwie Malmsteen and opening act Marty Friedman, who will appear at The Capitol Theatre.
The Singapore Rockfest series will be closed by American pop punk band All Time Low with an opening act for host punk band Iman’s League on 5 May 2024 at Fort Canning Park. All Time Low currently consists of Alex Gaskarth on vocals and rhythm guitar, Jack Bakarat on lead guitar, Rian Dawson on drums and Zack Merrick on bass.
All Time Low also toured several Asian countries and is still in its 20th anniversary series.
