Nova Twins, currently on their way to Dublin, ready for tomorrow night’s show at the Button Factory, have announced a new partnership with Amnesty International UK on their UK tour, seeking to defend the right to protest.
Nova Twins are using their platform to shine a spotlight on the erosion of freedoms, especially this alarming crackdown on peaceful protest.
“We’ve always believed music is about more than sound,” Nova Twins said. “It’s about standing up, speaking out, and being heard. On this tour, we’re proud to stand with Amnesty International to spotlight their brave work defending human rights around the world and protecting our right to protest, speak truth, and place love over hate.”
The collaboration forms part of Amnesty’s Change The Record initiative, a platform connecting artists with human rights causes to spark meaningful conversations through music and creativity.
“We are so grateful to Nova Twins for their support and commitment in joining Amnesty to Change The Record on Human Rights,” Gemma Gillie, Head of Media PR & Supporter Communications at Amnesty International UK, told us.
“The culture of the UK is shifting under us. With an increasing creep towards authoritarianism in laws and policies that stoke fear and division, we must push back and defend the human rights that keep us all free. Our strength lies in our diversity.
“This collaboration with Nova Twins is so important, giving fans the opportunity to come together and show their solidarity and support for human rights. This work has never been more urgent.”
On the UK leg of their Parasites & Butterflies Tour, they will be selling limited edition tote bags, badges, and prints featuring a bespoke poem written by Nova Twins, spreading the important message of Love Over Hate.
Profits from all Nova Twins x Amnesty International UK merchandise sales will go to Amnesty International UK, which could fund:
- Legal analysis challenging anti-protest laws
- Evidence collection protecting free speech
- Campaigning efforts to hold the powerful to account
Tickets for the Parasites & Butterflies tour are on sale from novatwins.lnk.to/PBTour.
