More details emerge for Guns N’ Roses BST Hyde Park gig in June

Guns N’ Roses’ headline gig at BST Hyde Park on 30th June 2023 has even greater anticipation following the announcement of several of their warm-up acts on the day. The band revealed that The Pretenders, The Darkness and Larkin Poe will be just a few of the special guests appearing in the heart of the capital.

This gig is scheduled amid the band’s world tour that’s starting on 5th June in Tel Aviv, Israel, before closing up in Vancouver, Canada on 16th October. It’s the band’s second appearance on British soil this summer, with BST Hyde Park scheduled just three days after what will certainly be a rabble-rousing performance at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, Scotland. The band will also be performing 22 times across North America through September and October.

Guns N’ Roses are still a big deal

Guns N' Roses

Guns N’ Roses are still highly relevant in popular culture, due largely to their strong brand and the personalities of Axl Rose, Slash and co. They still have no problem selling out these headline shows, with Hyde Park one of the biggest available outdoor music venues in London.

The band’s brand is active in many ways off-stage. There are limited edition Guns N’ Roses pinball machines that are a huge hit with arcade gamers, licensed board games, and even an online slot game. The latter was developed by award-winning iGaming studio NetEnt, which was later acquired by Evolution in 2020. Evolution is the pioneer of live dealer casino gaming, with its suite of titles now powering many mobile online casinos with authentic, real-time studio-based gameplay. Most of their games are famed for their impressive presentations and immersive bonus features that complement slots like the Guns N’ Roses game which also has a duo of bonus options complete with the band’s iconic soundtrack.

The lowdown on Guns N’ Roses support acts at BST Hyde Park 2023

The Pretenders with Chrissie Hynde on lead vocals and James Honeyman-Scott on lead guitar are one of the most iconic rock bands of the 1970s and 80s. In 2020 they released their 11th studio album, Hate for Sale, and have been active on the live music scene with an appearance at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium in September 2022.

British hard and glam rockers The Darkness will also make a proud appearance at the BST Hyde Park gig. The band reunited in 2011 after a five-year hiatus and have since been active on the touring and recording scene. In June 2021, their seventh studio album was released, Motorheart. After a big UK tour in the winter of 2021, The Darkness will return to London this summer to underpin Axl Rose and co.

American Southern rockers Larkin Poe are another exciting addition to the line-up. The band has previously been described as the “little sisters of the Allman Brothers”. Their debut album earnt them a slot at 2014’s Glastonbury Festival, which saw them named as “Best Discovery Act” of the festival by The Observer.

Tickets for Guns N’ Roses at BST Hyde Park on 30th June 2023 are still available on general admission, as well as “gold circle” tickets, which are priced at ÂŁ229.95 per person, with payment plans currently available.
