Mark Daly And The Ravens / From Cork To Connecticut

Mark Daly And The Ravens brought their raspy, down-and-dirty rock ‘n’ roll band to Fairfield, Connecticut’s beautiful Warehouse at The Fairfield Theater Company. The FTC is nestled downtown right next to the train station.

Mark Daly came in support of Geoff Tate, which works out well as most of his bandmates also play in Geoff Tate’s band. Mark played a nine-song set of hard-rocking songs and sings with a powerful voice and passion in his eyes.

They are touring in support of their current maxi-single entitled Drop Dead. Jack Ross has a great stage presence and had fun playing it up to the crowd, while James Brown nails it on the lead guitar duties and Danny Laverde slays it on the Drums.

All three of these guys are pulling double-duty with Geoff Tate. Aside from Mark’s passionate vocals, he is just as in tune when he breaks out the acoustic guitar for a few songs.

Daly lets us know that when he was leaving Ireland, he asked his daughter what she wanted, and she said she wanted a phone call from him. Well, his son overheard the conversation and told him that he wanted a Tesla. “So, head on over and buy some merch to help with that request,” he smiles.

He also let us know he would be over at the merch booth to hang out with the fans after his set. The fourth song played, Better Off Alone, was great and is a previously unreleased song.

Mark dedicated his song, Addicted To The Throne, to all the weirdos in the crowd. Most of his songs have to do with his life experiences, he told us, and the song Peace Of Mind is about having an overactive mind.

This was a great opening set, well received by the crowd and you can see from his social media posts that he is thrilled that “The American dream continues.”

If you want to check out Mark Daly and The Ravens, they will be on tour with Geoff Tate’s Big Rock Show Hits Tour throughout the United States until October 8.
