WRITER / PHOTOGRAPHER
Jody Wilk is a Connecticut-based photographer. He started taking photos as a child after winning a plastic camera as a Publisher's Clearing House prize.
Jody began taking classes in high school and then pursued a bachelor's degree in photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. He photographed many rock and Heavy Metal bands at local clubs in the late '80s and '90s, including the legendary Toad's Place in New Haven, Connecticut.
After a long break in photography to build his landscaping business, Jody went on The Monsters of Rock Cruise in 2018, re-igniting his passion for music photography. Alongside his daughter and fellow MetalTalk photographer Shannon Wilk, Jody has photographed many bands such as Kiss, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Tesla, and Queensrÿche, and he has covered many rock festivals. His bucket list bands include Metallica and Garth Brooks.
