8 October brought Seether, Daughtry, P.O.D., and Kami Kehoe into Bridgeport, Connecticut’s Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater. This was the last show of the year for this 5,700+ seat amphitheater, and the fans did not disappoint, bringing a great crowd out for a night of music. Filing through security swiftly, the show began at 7:00 pm sharp.

Kami Kehoe
Budding artist, Kami Kehoe, was first to grace the stage on this seasonably cool night for the final show of the year at the amphitheatre. Twenty-one-year-old Kami is no stranger to live music as she has been involved in it for over 15 years.
Kami took to the front of the stage with the confidence of the likes of Lzzy Hale, belting out the vocals to five of her original’s including three songs from her new EP, Kandy which was just recently released.
Not only can she sing, but she can sing while pounding away on the drums as well. Kure The World, as presented on the bass drum, is Kami’s website, Kuretheworld.com, but also has much more meaning.
She has said, “If I can change one person’s life through my music, then I’ve reached my goal.” This young artist is going places, and touring with Seether, Daughtry, and P.O.D. is just a stepping stone on her path to stardom.
You can catch Kami on tour with this tour through mid-November.
P.O.D.
Next up was Christian Nu-Metal band P.O.D. out of California. Fronted by Sonny Sandoval on lead vocals, they hit the darkened stage with a couple of songs from 2001’s Satellite album. First was Boom, and then the title track, Satellite.
Sandoval utilised the whole stage, jumping around with his dreadlocks flailing and getting the crowd pumped. With eleven studio albums, P.O.D. has a ton of songs to choose from, although they only played songs from three albums.
Next, they played a couple of tracks from their eleventh studio album, Veritas, which was released on 3 May 2024. This was followed by their only cover song of the night, Don’t Let Me Down, by The Beatles.
Traa Daniels was on the bass guitar and has been since 1993. Marcos Curiel was on guitar and had a cool, calm and collected look. Touring drummer Zachery Christopher pounded away on the drums while Wuv Bernardo has been on hiatus since 2021.
As you would expect, P.O.D. played Youth Of The Nation, and the crowd were on their feet and singing along. They ended their nine-song set with Alive.
Daughtry
Daughtry is always a favourite band of mine to see, as Chris Daughtry has a commanding stage presence and vocal ability that is above phenomenal.
Only if you have been living under a rock, you would not know that Chris was a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol in 2006. Daughtry’s first album, Daughtry, is certified 6-times platinum, and he has released seven more albums since.
Chris and his talented bandmates started off the night with three songs from Shock To The System (Part Two), which was just released last month.
Drummer Anthony Ghazel is the newest member of the band and seems to fit right in. Former Lita Ford bassist Marty O’Brien has been pounding out the lows with Daughtry since 2022. Brian Craddock has been on the guitar since 2006, and Elvio Fernandes on keys since 2011.
Outside of one cover song, Journey’s Separate Ways (Worlds Apart), which is a staple in his set, they played a laundry list of hits. Three crowd favourites from of his self-titled album were Home, It’s Not Over, and Over You.
Daughtry ended the night with an encore, Artificial, from last year’s Shock To The System (Part One). Daughtry always has the crowd on their feet, performing with a passion matched only by a few.
Seether
The fans in the packed amphitheater were on their feet after a stellar performance by Daughtry and were ready to rock out with a set full of hit songs with Seether.
Seether stormed the stage at 10:15 with a couple songs from their Disclaimer album. The stage set was simple with a giant illuminated “S” centred behind the drums and a bunch of light racks to shine through the smoke being blown onto the stage.
Guitarist Corey Lowry had a cool custom Dean guitar with his initials in the neck. Lead vocalist Shaun Morgan belted out the hits, sounding like the recordings. He had a bunch of baby dolls with devil horns hanging off of his mic stand, along with what looked like a shrunken head.
Drummer John Humphrey has held the percussion spot since 2003, and Dale Stewart has been on bass since 2000. They bounced around from album to album playing a set of 14 songs, most of which were fan favourites such as Country Song, Words As Weapons, and Dangerous.
During the middle of the set, Seether slowed things down with Broken, performed with only an acoustic and an electric guitar, no drums or bass. Later in the set, they played two songs from the most recent album, The Surface Seems So Far, before bringing the house down at the end of the final show of the season for The Hartford Healthcare Amphitheatre with Fake It, my absolute favourite Seether song, and then Remedy.
The fans were left tired and exhausted from a four and a half hour night of music on a chilly fall night at the Connecticut shoreline.
Kami Kehoe surprised the crowd as it was the first time many people had seen her perform. P.O.D. rocked the “Youth of The Nation” as well as some not-so-young people.
Daughtry absolutely slayed it, and Seether had the fans standing till the last note. You can catch this tour throughout the United States through mid-November.
