Lovebites holding open auditions seeking new bass player

Japanese band Lovebites are holding open auditions for a new bass player to replace Miho. The founding member Miho announced her decision to leave the band last year, saying, “my spirit for Heavy Metal never dies.”

The remaining members, Asami, Midori, Miyako and Haruna, have released a downloadable one minute 43-second track and are asking people to “make/play the bass line that you think is the best for the track.”

The role is not limited by age, gender, or nationality and is open to professional or amateur musicians who are willing to play mainly near Tokyo, Japan, and able to travel to places both inside and outside of Japan.

Lovebites would also like you to film your performance and ask that if you share your film on social media, you use the hashtag #LOVEBITES_BassistAuditions

Applications are open between Saturday, 2 April 2022 12:00pm (JST) and Tuesday, 24 May 2022 11:59pm (JST).
