Things are looking very positive concerning the Bruce Dickinson cancer situation with Iron Maiden issuing a further statement containing good news and new pictures emerging on a Bruce Facebook fan page of the man himself at the Airlander Hybrid Air Vehicle hangar where he was helping with out with media.
The statement from Maiden reads: “Over the last few days, Bruce has been to see his specialists and following examinations, including visual, we’re delighted to update everyone that the situation remains extremely optimistic for a full recovery.
“We will still not have final confirmation that the cancer has been completely eradicated until Bruce can have an MRI scan in May, as previously advised in Rod’s recent message to the fans on this site, and the period to full recovery will continue for a few months yet.
“Typically Bruce’s immediate reaction to the specialists’ good news was to be as active as feasibly possible, taking in a couple of visits to the Maiden office, one to the Hybrid Air Vehicle hangar to see latest progress, and a brief trip to his local pub, much to the surprise and delight of all his friends there!
“We just wanted to share this latest piece of good news with all Maiden’s fans and, as usual, we’ll continue to keep you all updated officially on Bruce’s progress.
And the fansBrDickinson Facebook fansite published the two pictures included in this article and posted the following update:
“BRUCE IS BACK!!! For those Iron Maiden fans who have been worried about Bruce Dickinson’s health recently, we can report he’s fit and well and visited us today to help us out with some media. He’s even sporting a new ‘tache, so things are looking up!
“Bruce is one of our very supportive shareholders and we finalised the video we’re shooting for 30 March. We also had a major broadsheet newspaper in today, to put together a large feature for that day too. They know what we’re announcing – you will soon, too! #preparefortakeoff
“And if that wasn’t enough, Radio 4’s PM programme did a nice piece on us (at 51 mins 30 seconds on iPlayer) – all the sounds of the Hangar. It’s quite interesting…. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05mqrkh#auto.

It is still unclear whether Maiden will play this year. It is believed that concerts were provisionally booked and also that a new album is in the can and ready for release but obviously Bruce’s health situation is the highest priority and we expect no news on the band situation until Bruce is given the all clear in May, as previously explained.
