Creeper / Year Of The Vampire, A Horror Triumph At OVO Arena Wembley

Creeper support Ice Nine Kills at OVO Arena Wembley for a horror extravaganza on the Work Of Art UK/EU tour and announce the SANGUI-TOUR in April, an extensive run of intimate shows in which they will perform songs from both critically adored Sanguivore albums.

2025 has truly been the year of the Vampire. Creeper have delivered consistently on all fronts, and their supporting slot on Ice Nine Kills Work Of Art tour provided a fitting finale to a rocketing year.

The arena swelled with the recorded voice of Patricia Morrison, opening the show with A Shadow Stirs, from the recent album Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death.

The muscular, intimidating presence of the Mistress Of Death, expertly portrayed by Sarah Page, emerged onto the stage, swinging a severed head. Crafted like a figure of myth, she hurled the head into a delighted crowd.

Haunting theatrics followed, the sound of “Oh oh oooooos” echoing as the band possessed the stage and struck the opening chords of the titular track Mistress Of Death.

Creeper tore through Blood Magik (It’s A Ritual) with fist‑pumping precision. By the third track, Lovers Led Astray, William von Ghould was fully in stride. Hannah Greenwood stepped away from the keys to centre stage, offering a glimpse of her magnificent vocal power.

Leatherface spun in the crowd, cartwheels erupted nearby, and a pair of bananas surged forward. Chaos cleared into a vast opening that exploded into a circle pit for Headstones. Lawrie Pattison, pink guitar in hand, stood framed against the wave of black onstage, a striking juxtaposition that heightened the visual spectacle.

From chaos in the pit to command from the stage, von Ghould thanked the crowd, asked if they were having fun, and received resounding cheers before calling for fans to light the arena.

“The Next song is about murder,” he declared, dedicating it to Ice Nine Kills. The band ebbed into the slow, delicate intro of The Ballad Of Spook And Mercy. The track showcased Creeper’s growing mastery of arena‑sized anthems, wailing guitars, crashing drums, and William’s soaring, powerful vocals.

The gothic ringmaster commanded his pack with authority before swiftly moving into new song Parasite.

Dedicated to The Devil Wears Prada, Black Heaven offered moments of intimacy. William’s voice rose, hitting the rousing highs of the chorus against softer verses and riffs, while Hannah’s soft backing vocals wove in delicately, bringing it to a graceful conclusion.

After further heartfelt thanks to the other bands, Creeper closed with the rousing, Cry To Heaven.

The sheer size of the crowd stood as testament to Creeper’s relentless work ethic. Circle pits churned, crowd surfers streamed forward, and the venue brimmed with energy, standing sections packed, seating nearly full.

From banana‑costumed figures to Art the Clown and other horror character cameos, the audience’s enjoyment matched the might of the music. New tracks dominated the set, and the audience clung to every word.

In the year of the Vampire, Creeper proved their bite is sharper than ever.

Creeper have announced the SANGUI-TOUR in April, an extensive run of intimate shows in which they will perform songs from both critically adored Sanguivore albums.

“For the first time ever, Creeper will be exclusively performing songs from Sanguivore 1 and 2,” William von Ghould said. “The shows will provide a rare opportunity for fans to see the band in incredibly intimate venues and in cities they rarely get to visit.”

Tickets went on sale yesterday from creepercult.com/tour-dates.
