Kris Barras Band have released the music video for Beautiful Lie, the latest single from their forthcoming album Monsters We Made. The album will be released through Earache Records on 14 August 2026. It finds the Devon band returning to hard-rocking, guitar-driven and blues-rooted territory while retaining the arena-sized choruses that have become central to their live sound.
The Beautiful Lie video was produced by Tommy Rowe of Rowe Films. “Beautiful Lie is one of my favourite songs to sing from the new album,” Kris Barras said. “It’s one of those songs I’ll just find myself randomly humming around the house. It’s a song about being betrayed and about being lied to. A lie so good that you almost have to admire how they pulled it off!”
The band will mark the album’s arrival with a run of UK in-store appearances in August. The events feature an unplugged acoustic performance by Kris Barras on vocals and guitar and Josiah Manning on guitar and piano, followed by a signing session at every date except Kingston.

The band’s 2024 album Halo Effect reached the UK Top Five and topped the Official UK Rock/Metal, Independent and Download charts. Barras later described that album as an over-adjustment towards modern Metal and the resurgent nu-Metal scene. Monsters We Made is a deliberate return to big singalongs, riffs and guitar solos.
“We wanted big singalongs, big riffs, big solos,” Barras says. “The kind of hard rock music that belongs in arenas; dense, complex and able to energise the biggest crowds.”
Josiah Manning produced the album. The line-up is completed by bassist Frazer Kerslake and drummer Billy Hammett. Earlier in 2026, Barras toured Europe with Smith/Kotzen before illness forced him to leave the run after damaging his vocal cords. Following intensive rehabilitation, he says he is fully recovered and singing better than ever.
