German Power Metal band Freedom Call will perform their first concert in Southeast Asia in Jakarta, Indonesia. The show will take place on 13 May 2026, at Toba Dream, Jakarta. Freedom Call’s visit to Jakarta, Indonesia, is part of their Asia tour titled Silver Romantic Metal Nights 2026.
Before heading to Indonesia, Freedom Call will first visit several cities in Korea and Japan. The band’s visit to Indonesia is a collaboration between local promoter Waloh Mateng Production and Bottom Row Music Agency.

As confirmed by Hendro from Waloh Mateng to Metaltalk Indonesia, the Freedom Call lineup for Jakarta will include Chris Bay, lead vocalist and songwriter, Lars Rettkowitz on guitar, Francesco Ferraro on bass, and Roland Jahoda, ex-Paradox, on drums, due to Ramy Ali’s inability to participate.
This Jakarta performance will be packaged like a mini-festival, with Freedom Call as the headline act. Several bands will also perform, including Jakarta’s veteran punk band Marjinal.

Joining Freedom Call in the lineup are Grausig, also a Jakarta-based Indonesian Death Metal pioneer and Pumpkins United, an Indonesian Helloween tribute band.
A quick flashback: Hendro and Guntur, two members of Waloh Mateng Production, brought Fabio Leone, ex-Rhapsody Of Fire and ex-Angra, to Solo, Indonesia, in November 2024. Fabio Leone performed with a local band, with drummer Justine, still 14, as one of its members.

In this Freedom Call preview article, MetalTalk Indonesia also features an alternative poster design for the Freedom Call Asia tour, Silver Romantic Metal Nights 2026, created by a cool young female artworker whose work is heavily inspired by Metal songs and bands, which she says make her feel more alive.

Her work is characterised by dynamic, colourful, fantasy illustrations with a hint of Japanese manga style. This talented young Indonesian artist, known as Broccolaz, can be found on Instagram under the handle @anomalybroccoli.
Broccolaz is also the Indonesian national champion in an artwork contest organised by PT. Djarum, through its Supermusic Superstar division, which facilitates and supports the independent rock-Metal music scene and visual arts.

Several global metal bands have collaborated with Broccolaz on artwork, including DragonForce, Twilight Force, Epica, Victorious, Fellowship, and several others.
MetalTalk Indonesia will have the honour of accompanying Freedom Call from their arrival in Jakarta on show day, until their departure. Thank you to Waloh Mateng Production.
