Desertfest 2023 / Eleventh edition set for 5-7 May

Desertfest 2023 returns for its eleventh year this May. The UK’s leading stoner rock, doom, psych and heavy rock festival will be held over 5-7 May 2023 at venues including The Electric Ballroom, The Underworld, The Black Heart, The Devonshire Arms and Powerhaus, Camden.

Cult heroes Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats are to headline the Roundhouse for the very first time. One of the most widely-requested bands in the Desertfest-sphere, their riff-driven hard-rock and trippy melodic leave the though that their debut performance at this festival can be seen as the stuff of legends.

Also announced are Swedish heavy-blues maestros Graveyard, German groovers Kadavar and worshippers of vintage occult folklore Blood Ceremony.

For those of a heavier appetite, macabre Japanese doom legends Church of Misery, genre-bending nihilists Inter Arma and London’s own gloom heroes Grave Lines should be a delectable entrée to proceedings.

Ukraine is represented by Somali Yacht Club and the US by Valley of The Sun, both making their festival debut. Poland’s own Spaceslug will bring their atmospheric sci-fi-influenced proto-doom, while progressive fusions of stoner and psychedelia come from Mars Red Sky, Gaupa and Ecstatic Vision.

To round off their first announcement, Desertfest also welcome Celestial Sanctuary, High Desert Queen, Plainride, Everest Queen, Venomwolf & Margarita Witch Cult.

Weekend tickets for Desertfest London 2023 are on sale now, with much more still to be announced.
