Cats In Space have released Miracle this morning, the first single from their new album Suit Of Armour, due on 6 November 2026 via Cherry Red Records on the Esoteric Antenna label. The track marks the band smashing into a fantastic new era as they are joined by bassist Chris Childs and guitarist Sam Wood.
“Our last album, Time Machine, was our first for the label, so we were testing the waters carefully,” Guitarist Greg Hart told us. “This time, however, the gloves are off. We have spent more than 18 months recording what we truly believe is our finest and most grandiose record yet.”
Early listens at MetalTalk towers can confirm that Greg is spot on here.
“Emotionally charged and shaped by the many facets of the human condition,” Greg said, “we guarantee this conceptual journey will blow everyone away.”
Miracle offers the first taste of a record more than 18 months in the making. Packed with towering harmonies, sweeping orchestration, pounding piano and thunderous drums, it sets the tone for an album that draws inspiration from legends such as Queen, ELO and Styx, while also revealing a stronger hint this time of the classic Thin Lizzy sound, with waves of harmony guitars throughout.
“The fans want epic Cats In Space? Well, hold on to your hats, because this album is full of it,” Greg said. “Time Machine was merely the starter. Suit Of Armour is the full banquet. A medieval banquet of epic rock, if you will.”
Suit Of Armour also features Julie ‘The Duchess’ Maguire, and with Suit Of Armour, Cats In Space have certainly raised the bar.
Miracle is the first of three singles to be released ahead of the album, each with an accompanying video. Suit of Armour will be available on classic black vinyl and CD, and once again raises the bar, taking listeners on a journey of epic proportions in a way only Cats in Space can.
