Joining Bloodywood on their Return Of The Singh Tour were Demonic Resurrection and Calva Louise. You would be lucky to find a band with a greater span of nationalities than Calva Louise. Considering themselves a British band, they consist of Venezuelan vocalist Jess Allanic, who spent her teenage years in France, where she met the band’s drummer, Alizon Taho, before moving to Britain and finally meeting their guitarist Ben Parker of New Zealand.

Calva Louise
The diverse origin of the Calva Louise band members no doubt contributes to the fresh and powerful sound of the three-piece. Their energetic performance felt comfortable upon the sizable stage, unsurprising from an outfit flirting with stardom for a number of years.
Keen to achieve a greater sound than would otherwise be possible with so few members, the artists have come up with a unique solution that allows them to harness both electronic and traditional sounds at will.
Allanic’s synthesizer was attached to rollers allowing it to be thrown in and out of position at will so as to allow for a seamless switch between explosive guitar solos and zippy synthetic beats at will.
The short set packed nearly as many hits as that of our headliners, with the band’s popular hits of W.T.F, Aimless, Feast Is Over, and Oppertunista all making appearances.
The name Calva Louise is becoming increasingly difficult to avoid. Having already spanned the world and made appearances at some of the largest festivals to be found, including our own Download festival, they will be sure to be in a town near you soon.
Be quick to catch them on the rise.
Demonic Resurrection
Wasting no time to have an impact, Bloodywood are already shining a light on the underground Metal scene of India by bringing along experienced Death Metal outfit, Demonic Resurrection.
The band, which formed 25 years ago, may share the overarching genre of Metal with tonight’s main attraction, but they certainly display a heavier, more gritty example of it.
Lead vocalist Sahil ‘The Demonstealer’ Makhija was quick to jump on this point as he joked that he was warned against touring with Bloodywood as they were too heavy for their crowd. This returned cheers, which suggested the very opposite.
The quartet performed with the confidence and mastery that you expect from a collective with such a long history of performance as Makhija insisted that although the crowd had not heard of them before tonight, they would be fans afterwards.
Demonic Resurrection are an excellent example of the Heavy Metal that India has to offer and will hopefully return with their own exciting offering of international talent for the new fans gained this evening to fall in love with all over again.
