Bruce Dickinson / New Single Rain On The Graves

Bruce Dickinson has released his brand new single, Rain On The Graves. A cool video introduces the live band. This song is taken from his new album, The Mandrake Project, which will be released on 1 March 2024 via BMG.

“I had the chorus lyric since I visited Grasmere for a wedding back in 2012,” Bruce told us. “It wasn’t difficult years later to create the rest of the song with so much rich imagery in my head!”

The video was filmed in wintery Cornwall with Director Ryan Mackfall. We see Bruce Dickinson, the actor and preacher, making his own deal with the Devil and dragging his House Band from Hell into the bargain.

The house band, guitarist Roy Z, drummer Dave Moreno, bass player Tanya O’Callaghan and keyboard maestro Mistheria look cool on the stage. O’Callaghan stylishly spins the contrabass.

The song is a great classic Dickinson/Roy Z collaboration, nicely heavy with spoken vocals of the verses in an almost poetic fashion.

Rain On The Graves follows the first single, Afterglow Of Ragnarok, released on 1 December 2023. This song is “a heavy song, and there’s a great big riff driving it,” Bruce said. “But there’s also a real melody in the chorus that displays the light and shade that the rest of the album brings.”
