BLOODSTOCK ISSUES 2020 EVENT CLARIFICATION; HELLFEST UPDATE

MetalTalk understands that Hellfest will most likely cancel this summer’s event, as the French Government is likely to announce a longer coronavirus isolation period. With Download and most other May/June festivals already postponed, Bloodstock is one possible light at the end of the tunnel.

The Bloodstock team have today moved to reassure everyone that currently this Augusts Catton Park event planning is proceeding with full care and attention and that Bloodstock 2020 is still planned to go ahead.

A statement reads: “The team are closely monitoring government guidelines and co-operating with the relevant authorities to assure the best and safest environment for our BLOODSTOCK’ers, bands, staff, and site workers come August and they will continue to keep you updated with any further developments.

“BLOODSTOCK strongly hopes that life will be getting back to normal in four months time and by then, a heavy metal party with our friends will be just the good cheer that everyone needs.”

They have also announced five more bands on the lineup. Finnish Metal band Lost Society, Merseyside’s Video Nasties, Wolf Jaw (formerly The Bad Flowers), Grave Lines with their doom laden, gothic atmospherics and finally VEXED.

While you’re quarantined at home, check out BLOODSTOCK’s YouTube channel, stuffed full of amazing tracks and sets from years gone by, including Gojira’s incredible headline set in 2016
