Japanese Heavy Metal titans Babymetal have released the new single Monochrome, taken from their new album The Other One, which is set to be released on 24 March 2023. The film for Monochrome is the lyric video the band has released. A European tour with Sabaton is set for 2023.
The Other One is a concept album themed around the band being “sealed” from their world after their 10-year journey. A restoration project, we recover Babymetal in a virtual world called Metalverse, a version of the band we never knew existed.
One of the discovered ten parallel worlds is Cavalry, and their earlier single, Divine Attack, centres around this theme. As if this song is a hint into the future, alluding to a cavalry preparing for their next battle, we can feel a new sense of power from not only the sound but also the lyrics that SU-METAL has written for the first time. In addition, the official visualiser includes never-before-seen cuts of the members from The Other One – Black Box – and conveys the power and dynamism of the song.
Sabaton bring their Tour To End All Tours to Europe in April and May 2023. Babymetal joins as special guests, and support is from Lordi.
