BABYMETAL have released the new song From Me To U. There is also a high-concept video to watch, which pairs the band’s signature choreography with a futuristic world teetering on the edge of destruction. This new song is taken from their upcoming album Metal Forth, set for release on 13 June 2025.
The majority of songs on Metal Forth feature collaborations, including Poppy, Spiritbox, Slaughter To Prevail and Polyphia. From Me To U features Poppy, who, in the video, dramatically transforms into a dragon amid the wreckage of a surreal and chaotic vision as the film nears its climax.
“I have been a fan of BABYMETAL for years,” Poppy told us, “and I am so happy for this song to finally be here. They have inspired me so much.”
“A kawaii Metal song was born from a collaboration between BABYMETAL and Poppy,” announced the band. “Check out Poppy’s shouts and BABYMETAL’s dance in the Neo Tokyo setting. Kawaii is sprinkled throughout the intense sound! Kimi ni todoke.”
