Swedish Viking Heavy Metal titans Amon Amarth have announced The Allfather Awakens, a huge UK and EU headline tour set to crash through autumn 2026, bringing an all‑Swede bill of melodic mayhem with special guests Orbit Culture and Soilwork.
Fresh from a storming summer that saw them support Slayer in Cardiff and London and join Pantera for a US live takeover, Amon Amarth will return to Europe with a brand new theatrical stage production and an extended headline set.

The raid begins in Manchester on 9 October before hitting London and Wolverhampton, then sets sail across mainland Europe with dates in France, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.
Tickets for The Allfather Awakens tour go on sale at 9am GMT / 10am CET on Friday 28 November from amonamarth.com/tour.
To mark the announcement, Amon Amarth recently unleashed a brand new single, We Rule The Waves, complete with a cinematic video. It is the band’s first new song in several years and sets the course for the next chapter in their saga, with a full new album planned for late 2026. Carved from salt and steel and echoing across oceans, the forthcoming record promises to push their epic Heavy Metal assault to even more barbaric heights.
The Allfather Awakens dates see Amon Amarth joined by two fellow Swedish forces. Modern Death Metal upstarts Orbit Culture bring a darker, groove‑driven edge, while long‑running melodic Death Metal favourites Soilwork add their own razor‑sharp riffing to the bill. Together, the trio form one of the heaviest Scandinavian line‑ups to hit European arenas in 2026.
Formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, Amon Amarth have spent more than three decades building their reputation as the kings of Viking Heavy Metal. From early cult favourite Once Sent From The Golden Hall through to landmark albums such as Twilight Of The Thunder God and the concept epic Jomsviking, they have forged a sound that blends thunderous death Metal power with huge, chant‑along hooks and the mythology of Viking history, folklore and culture.

Onstage, Amon Amarth have become one of the most formidable live acts in modern Heavy Metal, famed for their longships, pyro and full‑scale battles, as well as their connection with the crowd. Whether headlining festivals across Europe or joining legends like Slayer on farewell runs, the band have made it their mission to deliver Heavy Metal as a life‑affirming, communal experience.
With The Allfather Awakens tour and a new album on the horizon, Amon Amarth are ready to set sail once more. Sharpen the axes, ready the oars and prepare to rule the waves in 2026.
