About MetalTalk

MetalTalk was founded in May 2009 by Steve Göldby and just three years later, we broke the biggest news story of the year, the reunion of the original Black Sabbath line-up.

Since then we’ve consistently broken huge stories and published exclusives on Cellar Darling, Helloween, Queensrÿche, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Inglorious, Status Quo and Monster Magnet, to just name a few, and premiered videos and interviews from the biggest Metal labels on the planet.

We’ve also managed tremendously successful promotional campaigns for Accept, Magnum, The Heretic Order, Anvil, The Dead Daisies, FuxK RoxK and many more.

We published Chris Dale’s ‘Scream For Me Sarajevo’ series, which led to the award-winning movie of the same name, as well as Steve ‘Loopy’ Newhouse’s fourteen part series which resulted in the hugely successful book, ‘The Iron Maiden Years’.

After carrying out the The Hall Of Heavy Metal History inductions of Judas Priest, Doro, Anvil and Lita Ford (with Doro), Steve Göldby stepped aside from MetalTalk duties to focus on other areas of the Metal industry and was solely responsible for the greatest comeback in Metal history when KK Downing made his first appearance in ten years at Bloosdstock 2019. He was also resposible for the inception and creation of IDES OF MARCH, who sold out BEERMAGEDDON festival in just five days for their August 2020 appearance.

MetalTalk begin the roaring 20s with a brand new management team who continue and expand the legacy and history of the best Metal website on the planet.

Hail and publish!
