Thunder reissue expanded first three breakthrough albums

Thunder will reissue their breakthrough albums Backstreet Symphony, Laughing On Judgement Day and Behind Closed Doors on 28 April 2023 via BMG. The expanded albums feature rare, deleted, and unreleased bonus live versions of hits from each album and will be available on vinyl for the first time since their initial release.

Stand Up, recorded live at Shepherd’s Bush Empire London in 2005, is out now.

Released in 1990, Backstreet Symphony achieved great success, reaching No.21 in the UK album chart, and has since gone gold. Produced by Andy Taylor from Duran Duran, it spawned five hit singles, the title track, Love Walked In, Dirty Love, Gimme Some Lovin’, and She’s So Fine.

Backstreet Symphony will be pressed as a double LP, one gold disc and one silver disc.

The follow-up album Laughing On Judgement Day was released in 1992 and entered the UK album charts at No.2. It was beaten to the number-one slot by Kylie’s Greatest Hits. The album saw Thunder break internationally, touring heavily worldwide. Again this album achieved gold status, with four singles in the Top 40, Low Life In High Places, Everybody Wants Her, A Better Man, and Like A Satellite.

Laughing On Judgement Day is a double LP, one white disc and one blue disc.

Behind Closed Doors was released in 1995 and peaked at No.5. Co-produced by guitarist Luke Morley and Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bryan Adams), the album featured writing contributions from every member of the band, as well as Andy Taylor. The singles Stand Up, River Of Pain, and Castles In The Sand, all reached the Top 40.
