Lordi Announced As Spokesband For Swedish Recycling Campaign Pantamera

Sweden’s leading recycling initiative Pantamera has announced Finnish hard rockers Lordi as the official spokesband for its 2026 national campaign. Launched yesterday, the campaign arrives alongside a brand new single and video titled Pantamera (PAN-TAH-MEH-RAH!).

Known for their theatrical style and Eurovision-winning legacy, Lordi bring their signature heavy sound to sustainability, reimagining the classic Guantanamera into a riff-driven anthem. As Mr Lordi explains, the track draws parallels between horror and recycling, highlighting themes of transformation. “For example, Frankenstein monster and Zombies are recycled flesh and bones,” Mr Lordi says.

The band have long supported environmental and ethical causes, and this collaboration reflects their continued commitment to awareness and change. The band are supporters of PETA and have previously participated in a vegan fashion photoshoot for Vogue, promoting cruelty-free and sustainable materials.

Their involvement in Pantamera reflects a natural extension of these values as well as respect for the planet and awareness of the challenges it faces.

Alongside the campaign, Lordi will appear at major events including Heavy Metal Orchestrated with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Final.
