Welsh wonders Those Damn Crows release their new album Inhale/Exhale on 17 February 2023 via Earache Records. The single See You Again has been released from the ten-track album, which promises to be a super collection of modern rock bangers. The band will perform in-store acoustic shows during the day on their February UK Tour.
The news about the new album Inhale/Exhale is that it comes across as quite emotional. It seems like there are a lot of stories in there that all of the band are trying to express.
“I don’t know how else to write than to be honest,” Shane told MetalTalk’s Andy Shaw in an MTTV Interview at KK’s Steel Mill while on tour with Monster Truck late last year. “Yes, we can manipulate and exaggerate certain stories. But this album was literally from the heart. We’ve all been through so much shit. I mean everybody on the planet in the last couple of years. We’ve lost some really special people within the Crow family. So, yeah, when it came to record it, all those emotions came out, and sometimes you can’t even describe or put down in words really what it is. There’s just something in it. It’s in this band’s DNA now and forever.”
With their second album, Point Of No Return, entering the UK Album Chart at number 14, since then, Those Damn Crows have since seen their stock rise at exponential levels.
MetalTalk said that Those Damn Crows were an inspired choice for Stonedead 2022. “There’s a reason the Crows have been picking up plaudits and growing their reputation exponentially as well as picking up a die-hard group of fans,” MetalTalk said, “and that’s because they are a stonkingly good live act.”
And February 2023 will see the band on a headline UK tour, with a series of pre-show in stores before their headline dates, kicking off on album release day. Support is from James & The Cold Gun and Valhalla Awaits.
“When will I see you again is the question I was silently asking our fans every day throughout the pandemic,” Shane Greenhall says. “When were we getting back on stage, doing what we do best? When do we get to play in front of our fans again and share those moments of connection through our shows as we have done for the past seven years? At the time, there were literally no answers, no one knew, there was no way forward, our world as we knew it… stopped.
“We were separated, we were all suffering, we were at a loss, some in more ways than one. Though, like EVERYTHING, the situation was temporary; life again showed us how brutal and beautiful it can be while throwing us those valuable lessons – that nothing lasts forever, whether it’s good or bad and that the Crows, the fans, and all that our music stands for… continues to heal me.”
