Them Bloody Kids continue to march onwards, with the release of the video for their latest single, Knocked Down. With a stomping debut album Radical Animals, self-released in 2021, The Angel EP and an appearance on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock in 2024, having won the Metal 2 The Masses Grand Final in London, the band are throwing themselves into 2025 with the release of the Per Dolorem EP.
Knocked Down is a “tribute to strength and survival,” a catchy beast showcasing the band’s impressive ability to rant and rave. This is an emotional venting that delves into a deeply personal journey as the theme is of frontman Sebastian Moederle-Lumb’s mother’s battle with breast cancer, from diagnosis to recovery.
Shot in just 10 hours at a single location, the Knocked Down video is the first of two ambitious productions captured in a single day. Directed by Bradley Salih and produced by Zara Trott, the video pairs the band’s signature explosive energy with intimate visual storytelling, capturing the heartache, resilience, and eventual triumph behind the song.
“This one means everything to me,” Sebastian said. “It’s not just a song—it’s my mum’s story. I wanted to honour her strength and give a voice to others going through something similar.”
Them Bloody Kids promise a new video will be released in July. You can catch the band at The Fiddler’s Elbow in Camden this Saturday, 24 May 2025. For more details on all Them Bloody Kids things, visit linktr.ee/thembloodykids.
