The Dead Daisies have announced former Foreigner frontman Kelly Hansen as their new lead singer, alongside a new single, Lift Me Up, and plans for an album and extensive touring in 2027. Hansen joins guitarist Doug Aldrich, guitarist David Lowy, drummer Tommy Clufetos and bassist Jimi Crutchley in the latest line-up of the Hard Rock group. The new singer spent 20 years with Foreigner and has also performed with Hurricane.
“When I left Foreigner after 20 great years, I told everybody I wasn’t ‘retiring’, just moving on to other things,” Hansen said. “This project gives me the opportunity to stretch out with some new melodies, a new vibe and fresh energy. We’re gonna rock it!”
On tour with Foreigner in 2022, Hansen delighted the 3Arena, Dublin crowd by revealing that his mother is from Dublin and then pulling an Irish passport from his back pocket.

The Dead Daisies Release Lift Me Up
The first new track from the line-up, Lift Me Up, previews music being developed for the forthcoming album. Aldrich describes it as a song that grew from a simple guitar riff and a Heavy groove into a melodic, upbeat track.
“We’re working on more cool music for the album right now and I’m excited about where it’s heading,” Aldrich said. He also welcomed the opportunity to perform with Hansen again, praising the singer’s range and stage presence.
Lowy added: “We’re fired up about the direction The Daisies is taking. Kelly has slotted in and it just feels right. We’ve got a killer record taking shape and looking forward to a big year of touring ahead. Bring on 2027!”
