It’s a double headliner this evening in the capital, as Sylosis and Fit For An Autopsy kick the Nothing That Is tour off with a sold-out show at Electric Brixton.
Fit For An Autopsy – Sylosis
Electric Brixton – 22 November 2024

Unfortunately, due to traffic and general stars not aligning, I missed Heriot and Darkest Hour’s set, barely catching the latter’s final song. After feeling sorry for myself for a good amount of time, I picked myself up and made my way to the pit as Fit For An Autopsy were getting ready to start.
Fit For An Autopsy
The clock strikes 8 pm and the lights dim at the Electric Brixton as the band make their way to the stage to an eruption from the fans. A delayed, for me, evening gets underway as the band burst into Lower Purpose to open the set.
A Higher Level Of Hate follows, and the crowd are feeling it tonight, especially after the carnage that was left by the amazing Darkest Hour.
Fit For An Autopsy put on a vicious set with more circle pits and crowd surfers you could shake a stick at! The UK has certainly missed this band, and tonight, they showed why.
They put on a killer show with an extremely strong song list spanning five of the group’s albums. Highlights were Black Mammoth, Pandora and Far From Heaven before ending the show with Hostage and Two Towers.
As a sweaty crowd wound down to take a well-deserved break. Then, at around 9:20, Sylosis were ready to close the night with one more serving of Thrash Metal goodness.
Sylosis
There is no easing the crowd back in as Sylosis kick off with Empty Prophets, followed by Pariahs. As usual, Sylosis are on perfect form. Josh Middleton never misses a step with his mind-blowing guitar skills as well as fronting the band as vocalist.
I have seen Sylosis a bunch of times, and they have never failed to impress despite numerous member changes over the years.
During the song The Path, Debbie Gough from Heriot returns to the stage to give some guest vocals alongside Josh. One of the biggest pits of the evening ensues midway during Teras as the crowd goes into a frenzy.
It is quite crazy to think this tune is sixteen years old.
It has been a fantastic evening of Metal at Electric Brixton despite me missing two of the four bands. But the headliners brought my spirits back up.
Sylosis finish the night with Calcified, A Sign Of Things To Come, ending on Deadwood.
