NORTH ATLAS REIMAGINE ‘HYPNOTIST’ IN NEW LOCKDOWN PERFORMANCE

North Atlas have released a stripped back performance of their recent single ‘Hypnotist’, along with an update on how the band are using their online shop to help support the #SaveOurVenues campaign.

‘Hypnotist’ is the bands most hard hitting track to date and for the new version the hard hitting industrial distorted riffs have been replaced with warm acoustics and dark, mesmerising synths.

The band tell us: “‘Hypnotist’ mirrors the ups, downs and chaos of anxiety. We wanted to take this idea and flip the song on its head. Where the original version focuses on the disarray of these emotions, this acoustic arrangement is based on a calm ‘floating’ drug trip, like something your friendly neighbourhood shaman might give you to combat the anxiety”.

In support of the #SaveOurVenues campaign, which is supporting Grass Roots Music Venues who are in danger of going out of business due to the current pandemic crisis, North Atlas are donating all profits from their online shop to the cause.

They tell us: “I think everyone in our community – both locally and as music fans across the UK – has to step up and do our bit, however small, to protect independent venues for the future. It’s a vital part of our culture and history.”
