Rob Halford, Sammy Hagar, Tenacious D, Lzzy Hale and Sebastian Bach have been added to the participants of the Stand Up And Shout For Ronnie James Dio’s birthday bash.
The star-studded list already includes Tony Iommi, the Appice brothers, Glenn Hughes, Jeff Pilson and Rudy Sarzo, with the event to be held on 10 July, from 10 pm BST.
Eddie Trunk and Matt Pinfield will interview a host of stars at the event, which will benefit The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.
The Dio band, featuring Oni Logan and Tim “Ripper” Owens, Simon Wright, Scott Warren, Rowan Robertson and Bjorn Englen, will perform a set of classic Ronnie James Dio songs.
Lzzy Hale will be backed by a band that includes drummer Kenny Aronoff, keyboard player Steve Ferlazzo, bass player James LoMenzo and guitarist Jasmine Star. Jeff Pilson and Brian Tichy will join these to back up Anthrax vocalist Joey Belladonna and Broadway star Lena Hall on various numbers, while drummers/brothers Carmine and Vinny Appice will perform a dual drum solo.
Tickets are on sale at $20, with special merchandise packages and virtual VIP experiences available.
The Dio Ultimate Bundle Auction offers rare Dio-themed items hand-picked from the vault by Wendy Dio. These include vintage tee-shirts from 80s tours, an authentic autographed photo of Ronnie James Dio, rare die-cut picture disks and vinyl boxed sets, and an assortment of vintage backstage passes.
There is also an auction for a one-of-kind Dio-themed leather jacket that will be custom made for the winning bidder by celebrated artist Carin Hazmat. The final design is expected to be unveiled just before the event.
