Metallica are to host their first ever world wide live acoustic pay-per-view event, in support of the All Within My Hands foundation. The show will stream live from Metallica HQ on 14 November at 2pm Pacific Time, 10pm UK Time and an auction is to be included as part of the event.
All Within My Hands is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation established in 2017 and is a way for the Metallica family to support communities who have supported the band. Already this year, the charity has donated $645,000 to COVID-19 related relief funds including Feeding America and Direct Relief, as well as to charities assisting those in the entertainment and hospitality industries suddenly without work.
The foundation recently donated $350,000 to aid those affected by the West Coast wildfires.
The Metallica Scholars Initiative is in its second year and has been supported with a $1.5 million grant, which benefits 15 community colleges across America.
The show can be watched for 48 hours after transmission and tickets are available from 2nu.gs/Metallica.
