Lords OF NWOBHM, which features members of Praying Mantis, Diamond Head, Raven, Tank, and Persian Risk, will play their first show at the legendary Cart & Horses, the birthplace of Iron Maiden, before they head to Tokyo.
“We absolutely had to play our very first show at The Cart & Horses,” Tino Troy told us, “as the venue has such a great connection to the history of NWOBHM.”
The eye catching Lords OF NWOBHM lineup features Tino Troy (Praying Mantis – guitar), John Gallagher (Raven – bass), Karl Wilcox (Diamond Head – drums), Cliff Evans (Tank – guitar), Carl Sentance (Persian Risk – vocals) who promise to play classic tracks from those bands plus a carefully curated selection of songs from several of the other iconic artists from the era to make this the ultimate NWOBHM show.
With the ever-growing interest and respect around the world for the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, there’s never been a better time to celebrate the music of those pioneering bands from the era. “The cream of British Metal playing the best of the NWOBHM,” John Gallagher told us.
“We’re keeping our set list secret until we hit the Cart & Horses stage,” Cliff Evans said, “but we can promise you that it’s gonna be a night to remember.”
The excitement around the lineup has been growing, and their debut show, on 8 January 2026, is sure to sell out early. Doors are at 7 pm, with the band scheduled to hit the stage at 8 pm.
“The second wave is imminent,” Tino Troy promises. As Carl Sentance says, “NWOBHM never dies.”
The Cart & Horses show promises to be one of those classic nights, and MetalTalk understands there will be special guest surprises to please the crowd.
