Acclaimed French rockers Last Train are hurtling through the UK with a vengeance this May, headlining The Grace in London and hitting the stage at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton.
Last Train, who are known for their emotionally charged performances and grit-laden soundscapes, will tour in support of their new album III. This found the Lyon-based four-piece releasing what was described as a radical and authentic third album, which is as intense as the locomotive their name suggests.
Following up 2024’s orchestral reinterpretation Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, III marks a resolute return to their heavy rock roots, capturing the essence of frustration and defiance. Recorded in a crumbling, unheated chateau, III isn’t just a sonic release—it’s a visceral outpouring.
From the screeching feedback of One By One to the melodic tension in Home and The Plan, the band have crafted a modern rock statement that blends the fury of punk with the precision of Classic Metal.
With previous support slots for Muse and Placebo already under their belt, Jean-Noël Scherrer, Julien Peultier, Timothée Gérard and Antoine Baschung are no strangers to big stages—and they’re bringing that same firepower to more intimate UK venues.
For fans of emotionally raw, authentic rock with a heavy edge and melodic muscle, Last Train’s return is not to be missed. Their latest work doesn’t just speak—it roars.
Last Train play Focus Wales tonight at Ty Pawb, Wrexham (20:15) and – Penny Black (19:25) on 10 May 2025. On 16 May 2025, they pay The Great Escape Festival, appearing at The Wing at The Brighton Centre at 7 pm.
